Hi Stephen, Bit of a tricky issue, especially when none of us are experiencing the problem. I don’t know what OS or version of Safari your daughter is running.
Make sure that "private browsing” is turned off on Safari https://support.apple.com/en-au/KM204854?cid=acs::applesearch <https://support.apple.com/en-au/KM204854?cid=acs::applesearch>> Safari 11.1 Check Safari Preferences: Security - Web content: ✔Enable JavaScript is selected and Block pop-up windows is NOT selected Privacy - Cookies and website data: Block all cookies (is NOT selected) Extensions - if AdBlock is installed - disable it to test for Gumtree. And disable other extensions that could be causing the issue. You can turn them back on after testing if required. You definitely removed data related to the Gumtree website? 1. Choose Safari > Preferences. 2. Click the Privacy icon. 3. Click the ‘Manage Website Data’ button 4. Search for the name the website ‘gumtree’ whose data you want to remove. 5. In the results list, click the domain gumtree.com.au <http://gumtree.com.au/> that has data you want to remove. 6. Click Remove All. When you're finished, click Done and close the preferences window. Note: You will need all login details for your daughter’s access to her gumtree account. When finished Quit Safari - then Open Safari and test the gumtree.com.au <http://gumtree.com.au/> Cheers, Ronni > On 4 May 2018, at 10:52 am, Stephen Chape <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi Ronni. > Any ideas what I should look for in Safari please ? > I will probably go to her place in next few days. > >> On 2 May 2018, at 3:13 pm, Stephen Chape <[email protected] >> <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: >> >> Hi Ronni. >> >> Just got word back that Gumtree works fine with Chrome. >> So looks like Safari requires attention ? >> >>> On 29 Apr 2018, at 3:31 pm, Stephen Chape <[email protected] >>> <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: >>> >>> Sorry Ronni. >>> Yes I did that. >>> >>> I am half hour away from her place. >>> So I have asked her to try using Chrome and let me know what happens. >>> >>>> On 29 Apr 2018, at 12:12 pm, Ronda Brown <[email protected] >>>> <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: >>>> >>>> But did you Clear the cache and remove cookies first? >>>> Then Quit Safari after clearing the cache file & cookies for the gumtree >>>> website. >>>> >>>> Cheers, >>>> Ronni >>>> >>>> Sent from Ronni's iPhone 7 Plus >>>> >>>> On 29 Apr 2018, at 9:44 am, Stephen Chape <[email protected] >>>> <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: >>>> >>>>> Hi Ronni. >>>>> >>>>> It is Safari. >>>>> Tried Login as user. >>>>> Tried browsing without login. >>>>> Same result. >>>>> >>>>> I think her son has Chrome installed so will try that and report back. >>>>> >>>>>> On 29 Apr 2018, at 7:40 am, Ronda Brown <[email protected] >>>>>> <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: >>>>>> >>>>>> Hi Stephen, >>>>>> >>>>>> What web browser is this happening on, Firefox or Safari? >>>>>> Ask her to try access Gumtree & login on another web browser? >>>>>> >>>>>> Clear the cache and remove cookies from the website that is causing the >>>>>> problem. >>>>>> Your daughter would need to enter her login details again. >>>>>> >>>>>> cdn.districtm.io <http://cdn.districtm.io/> could be associated with >>>>>> handling Gumtree transactions? >>>>>> http://cdn.districtm.io.w3snoop.com/ >>>>>> <http://cdn.districtm.io.w3snoop.com/> >>>>>> >>>>>> Cheers, >>>>>> Ronni >>>>>> >>>>>> Ronni Brown’s iPad Pro 12.9-inch 256GB >>>>>> >>>>>> >>>>>> On 28 Apr 2018, at 1:36 pm, Stephen Chape <[email protected] >>>>>> <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: >>>>>> >>>>>>> Hi folks. >>>>>>> >>>>>>> A couple of weeks ago my daughter had trouble accessing Gumtree. >>>>>>> Did not matter if she tried to log in or just tried as a browser. >>>>>>> >>>>>>> Each time she tried she was re-directed to this website: >>>>>>> cdn.districtm.io <http://cdn.districtm.io/> >>>>>>> I have no trouble using my iMac when logging in to Gumtree. >>>>>>> I have scanned her iMac using MalwareBytes but nothing comes up. >>>>>>> >>>>>>> But now she tells me every time she goes to Gumtree she finishes up >>>>>>> with a blank white screen. >>>>>>> Even just using www.gumtree.com.au <http://www.gumtree.com.au/> she >>>>>>> gets the same thing. >>>>>>> >>>>>>> Any ideas please folks ? >>>>>>> I have tried Googling cdn.districtm.io <http://cdn.districtm.io/> but >>>>>>> have not really learnt anything ? >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> Regards, >>>>>>> Stephen Chape >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> Cheers, Ronni 13-inch MacBook Air (April 2014) 1.7GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost to 3.3GHz 8GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM 512GB PCIe-based Flash Storage macOS High Sierra 10.13.4
