The rain forrests very seldom grows back. As the soil is given free access to those tropical rains it's soil is destroyed, washed away, and becomes grassland. What happens outside USA and Europe is, conserning the big aereas involved, of bigger importance than our smaller aereas. Globally it's impact on changing the climate will be devastating.

"The rain forrests very seldom grows back"

Ah, yes -- the rain forest ... that would be the Olympic Peninsula in the state of Washington ... a truly breathtaking area -- no doubt about it!

But if you're referring to the Amazon and/or African JUNGLES ... that's a whole other kettle of fish. In the first place, the only reason those areas are called "rain forests" is because the environmentalists couldn't get anyones attention when they said they wanted to "Save the Jungle" so they changed the name of the area to get better results.

And in the second place -- jungles really do grow like jungles -- you can cut a path through it then go back 2 weeks later to find no trace that you'd been there -- things really do grow that fast.

And as far as the global warming is concerned -- enjoy it while you can ... the greatest danger of global warming is the ice age it's going to cause. And I'd be far more worried about all that gas caught in pockets under the ocean's floor. I think it's methane, but I'm not sure ... you get a few good "bubbles" of that stuff and you'll think global warming -- that stuff is far more dangerous than anything man could cause to happen, .....
