Thanks for starting this threat! :)

I think we should do some brainstorming on this matter, so here are my ideas:
- Have a file tree (on the left), and a workspace on the right
- Have plugins populate the workspace
- These plugins would be the tools, like a model editor (viewer) with 
loading/saving capabilities, editworld, stats-editors, metadata editors, 
script editors
- The filetree would work on a temporary folder, which is compressed on 
saving. Loading would uncompress to a temp folder.
