TAGS fans,
I finally got my season 6 and am really enjoying it.
It's been years since I've seen any of these, so
they're almost like new to me.
Two observations about Warren come to mind. First, I
remember that as a child I like Warren. My sons, who
are 9 & 11 and have grown up on TAGS, love Warren.
So, why does he so often grate on adults? Makes ya
thank!
2nd: it should be no surprise that Warren's character
wasn't received well. Besides the inevitable
comparisons to Barney, in his first episode ("The
Bazaar") it's made very clear that no one in
town--except maybe Andy--likes Warren. So, in asking
us to like him, they were asking us to go against the
very chacracters we loved. Of course, those
characters came to like Warren, but they're a lot more
forgiving than us real people. Again, makes you
thank!
