My friend moved to Cleveland from Columbus almost a year ago and said
that the computer was working fine before the move but hasn't moved
since they got here. I think that they took a while before they set it
up so I don't know where to go from here. Her father said to replace
the battery but from what I have researched online, it doesn't seem like
the solution.

From what little I followed this is just about as likely to be a hardware
problem as it is a software one.
