Thanks Riva - done all that -several times!! The
problem is beginning to look (I'm still messing
with it!) as though there's something wrong with
the software disk. I am getting messages half way
through the installation that says the software
isn't digitally signed and then it aborts the installation!
That message is not a lot of help to me of course
(theirs - not yours!!) - but at least it is one
step forward from where I was. (I think!!)

See if you can find your device there. If you
can, double click it. If the device has a red X
through its icon, it has been disabled. To
reenable it, double-click it to open its

open the Device Usage drop-down list, and then
select *Use this device (enable)*. If it
appears in Device Manager with a yellow circle
and exclamation point next to it, it's
physically installed correctly but there's a
problem with its driver or its resources.
Let us know what you find and we can go from there.
