Yes, very very true. And we are not actually getting away from this.
The previous content was used to create presentations. We are not
encouraging the use of the web in place of a "paper" presentation; we
are talking about distributing marketing materials to dealers.
The advantage of distributing this data in a digital form is that it
will become easier for the dealer to manipulate to their advantage.
The dealer can drop different images into some documents and easily
substitute their address etc. Then they just print (we will be
suggesting base computer/printer setups).
This is why I think the web is the ideal medium for distribution of
this material. Updates are easily handled. But I am not against CD-
ROM. I would bet that most people would sooner put a CD-ROM in their
computer than bother to dial-up and connect to a website. I think
the web will be used as well (how hard will it be to just copy the CD-
ROM to a website anyhow).
