Fewer and fewer. One of the things I do, is to put robot trap links
into some of my file so as to tell what is a robot, and what isn't. They
stopped looking at links in comments some time last year or the year
before.

Now that is a little bit... but then again...

Some of the search engines, according to what I have read. limit the
meta tags to some thousand - 1024 characters.

What search engines ought to do, is to churn the returns in each grade
band, so as to give everyone a more equal chance. Rotate the contents of
each grade band daily, so that if you were at the top of the 30% match
zone today, tomorrow you would be one down within that same 30% match
zone. It is only fair...

   Please do.

However, some of those submissions lists don't care, and submit you to
really raunchy sites! One needs to review these before throwing one's
pages into all the dumb "site of the day" tourist traps. Some of you do
want tourists, others want those who are qualified buyers.
