Adam and Ann,

I appreciate the kind words and also appreciate your concerns. I'll try to
answer Adams questions here as best I can and hope it "legitimizes" my
appraisal of MPC.

I've established two domains with MPC. Total start-up cost was $92 and
change (the first month's fees for both domains) and a bill from Internic
to the domain administrators for $70 each for two years of TRUE domain name
registration (this is minimum for *any* domain registration.) I didn't
have to pay anyone to register it (service is included with the site) and I
don't have to pay additional for hosting it (many hosts charge $20 to $50
extra per month for this.) I have full FTP and Telix access to my site.

Understood. I'm basically the same. I decided to take a risk with this
company and I think it is one of the best decisions I've made. They've
delivered even more than they promised in their ad pages. The on-line
manual is clear enough that most web masters would have no problem
following it. This company appears to be very straightforward. They don't
permit sites that are of an adult nature, promote bulk emailing, encourage
piracy or hacking, promoting illegal activity, or even point to those type
of sites. Spammers are deactivated without refund.

I don't know how they are making their money. I've belonged to several
MLMs and still believe in the principles behind MLM, but I've never made
any money at it yet. When I recommend this site to my clients, though, it
is because I know I can provide them with what they want there. They're
getting what they want and if I refer enough clients, the earlier ones will
have their fees reduced without ever promoting MPC themselves.

I pay a fee I consider a true bargain for the services I am reveiving from
MPC and their services include even more than I expected. The licensed use
of the Miva(tm) (HTMLScript 3.0) Scripting language added to the cgi-bin
scripts give me unbelievable flexibility. I'm just beginning to see the
possibilities of using it. Database and Shopping Cart apps can be
programmed right into the HTML code.

The site came pre-equipped with a guestbook, a site search engine, a bbs
message board, and what they call a "Free-For-All Links" page that let's
anyone add their own link. It also includes an anonymous FTP directory
pre-configured for those needing them.

Thanks for the words. I don't worry a lot about the hits. MPC provides
what they call a "Random Hit Generator" that directs traffic to different
Independent Reps pages each time it runs. If I weren't using the service,
myself, I wouldn't be as sold on it.

I don't believe this information is top secret or anything, but this comes
straight out of their on-line manual: ""Our computers are Pentium II Dual
Pro 266 and 300 machines running Apache over Linux" ... "Our server's are
connected to the Internet backbone over a T3 line, which has a capacity of
45 Mbps (Million bits per second.) Personally, I like the Apache/Linux
combination -- supposedly, much stabler than any MS setup.

Some of the features I like are:

Ease of setting up a password protected directory and assigning passwords.
This can be used in a member's only type of site such as one I created at
http://www.millenium-group.org/ allowing guests to enter one area and only
those assigned a password to enter the private area.

Wusage Web statistics. Looks pretty thorough, but I've never had full
access to them before, so don't have anything to compare them to. Includes
stats for every page an graphs of various areas such as time of day, client
servers, etc.

The built-in web wizard is probably adequette for a beginner, but could use
some improvement. A user interface like freeyellow.com uses would be a lot
easier for beginners, I would think.

Auto-responders are unlimited. All you have to do is create a text file,
store it an a special directory without an extension, and name it what you
want the email address to start with (eg. moreinfo for
[EMAIL PROTECTED])

Easy-to-set-up small (under 1000 member) maillists. SSIs (Server Side
Includes) allow "random text displayers" for something like a random quote
on a page. Secure server and shopping cart apps.

FTP and Telix access. They have good on'line instructions for using FTP
and Telix for various things for those who are rusty or those that have
never used them before.

One thread is discussing submissions to search engines. Members get free
submission to over 250 search engines and classified ad sites. I still
prefer to manually submit sites to the top 8 or 10, though.

You get 5000 free impressions with the Free Banner Exchange. A listing in
their own "mega-Mall".

Unlimited traffic for true domains. Sub-domains, software distributors and
certain other types of sites are limited to 3gig/month.

Well, enough of my "sales pitch". I've described what I received and my
own experience. If you can't see the value yet, nothing more I can say is
going to change your mind. If I get a few sign-ups out of this, I'll be
thanking them, but after they realize what they have, they'll be thanking
me and I'll be happy that I've shown someone else a great bargain!

Alligator,
By the way, I looked at your website. First page looked good, but internal
links just took me to empty directory listings.
