I'd much rather partner on projects, rather than becoming a permanent part
of a larger organization. I *like* being part of a smaller company (even if
it means I have to do the accounting) but I also like being part of a
larger group to work on large projects. As far as I can tell, all these
folks getting caught up in the merger mania craze are trying to get some VC
or other funding, and have to have a certain company size before that can
happen. But I personally think that the smaller companies, working in
virtual teams, is a better way to run a project.
