Big ol giggle. A client asked me recently if I thought the NIC would cut off
their domain because their payment was late. Heh. As you said, imagine the
lawsuits! I had an experience with the InterNIC earlier this year where I
cancelled a domain that I had not paid for. I cancelled it within 30 days of
signing up for it....but I got bills for a good three months afterward.
Cancelled the domain more than once during that period, too. It made me
think "If it's been 3 months and they're still sending final notices (on a
deleted domain, even), then when would they cancel a real domain".
