There it is. And I wonder if MIS might argue just because they are 
afraid they will lose some power; Wizard of Oz comes to mind.

Yes, I would say that is getting to the advanced stage where MIS 
might come in handy. But if I were in charge of MIS I would be 
developing an Intranet to teach how to do all of this. If your 
computer is down then call MIS.  If you want to upgrade the ram then 
look at the intranet, perhaps print some pages and then go at it.

Big Yup.

I think there has been some unspoked agreement between MIS and 
employees to really avoid using computers.  I have yet to find any 
MIS people that impress me -- except that they try to impress me.
