You are not alone.    I like my NT interface. But I really like the 
large screen area (and the easy switch) that is available on windows 
but only as $$$added software.  Also, you can log on multiple times 
and switch between sessions.

But remember that you did not just start to know the windows 
interface.

Owww!! me too.  Somehow I stumbled into this in the X windows 
(minicom has never worked in either RedHat or Slackware).  I got 
connected but the speed was slooooow...slooooow.  If I it was NT I 
would know what to check and where but I really haven't a clue and 
all the how-to's are not as how-to as I would like.

Yes, this is every easy.  Forget the X windows scene. You can do all 
this via the command line very easily.  Get mySQL installed--also 
easy.  All the comman line stuff is easy.
