No. Brand exposure and image building are benefits that I will be
mentioning. But my other purpose is to try to give a realistic view of the
realities of web-based commerce to any neophyte naive enough to think that
"if I build it, they will come. Or, if I build it, the floodgates will open
and money will come pouring in." I want to be able to say, "in general,
these are the types of businesses that to date have most successfully used
their web sites to generate income." Of course, I will also be pointing out
that to make money from a web site, the site owner has to put money and
effort into it (a la Amazon.com).
