Hi Kathy
I won't try and apologise for their site. I know.. even the CD does that
reloading.
However they do (like other mags) provide one or two CD's full of the
latest versions of stuff each month (eg MacOS 8.1 update). Much of it is
way too big for reasonable 28.8k modem downloads. It also provides a nice
storage method without burning my HD space.
I, like Frank, stopped reading it a few years ago but I've started again as
it has the CDs and a lot of good articles and relevant Ads. You know...
ones with $A prices and suppliers etc. US mags may be good for articles but
the prices are meaningless and simple $ rate conversions are misleading.
On which topic, I wonder if "Web work" is now sufficiently "core" to
survive the coming doom of world wide recession at a reasonable level of
activity?
