I was reading the paper on the train, scanning the daily news. The story
mentioned how Clinton was trying to meet with other officials about the
global economic turmoil that is happening. And of course, it mentioned, HAD
to mention Lewinsky.

Shouting at your newspaper on a train isn't as satisfying as shouting at
talking heads at your television. Shouting out "If it is merely about
lying, NOT about Republicans trying to throw as much mud at the president
emphisizing what we all suspected in January and knew for certain back in
August, NOT about sex, then why not focus PURELY on the Whitewater case
that Ken Starr was originally supposed to cover, or Travelgate, which Ken
Starr couldn't nail him on, or fundraisers with "CoffeeGate", which didn't
affect the President or his - what? - 70% approval rating before Starr and
the Republicans only could focus on the affair?"

When I voted for Clinton, twice, I knew he was an adulterer. Back when the
first elections was being held, if I had thought that overt war was the
answer, I would have voted for President Bush, since I liked the way he
handled most of the Persian Gulf war, though there are some parts I
disagree with. Instead, I voted for the best man for the job, with
Diplomacy being a major qualification for the job description. This is also
why I voted to have him re-elected. What, with Ireland vs Britan in a
diplomacy battle, Israel vs Palestine in a war of words, not guns, Clinton
was the best man for the job the second time around, not Dole.

A president's job is to manage both the domestic and the foreign policy of
the United States of America. We have had many presidents who could be
strong at one and not the other, but Clinton seems to be extremely good in
both categories, amazingly. Policies that his administration started, many
years ago, have worked remarkably well in both areas, which is why, if
there was a Presidential election tommorrow, I would vote for him again in
a heartbeat.

I would vote for him, in spite of the fact that one of his foibles is that
he likes quick blowjobs from people other than his wife. If for one
instance I believed that he had sexually harrased Monica, stalked her, or
seduced her, I would become one with the foaming mob setting out the Hue &
Cry to outst and impeach the president, had not it been Monica who showed
the president her undies first, and her who stalked him into a
"relationship" that lasted only 10 quickies over two years. Sheesh, that is
40 pages of notes and a million dollars worth of investigating in the Starr
report for every time the President and his intern met.

Maybe if Clinton debased himself like Jimmy Swaggart, crying "I have
sinned!" with melodramatic tears streaming down his face, it would please
the "The people have a -right- to know every salicious and savory detail of
your personal, private life, dammit!" ... nah. Clinton can't win. "We
demand an apology, sir! How dare you force -us- to give every every last
Monica's-Cigar-Suggestion detail and show it 24/7 on broadcast news?" Then
when he apologizes, it isn't sincere enough. He then gets disturbed when he
is trying to work with foreign policy in Britan, which was what we elected
him for, and he says "I have sinned... what more can I say?" causing him to
be dubbed "Sorryman" in the local editorials. What, should we force him to
grovel, and then laugh at his grovelling? Then CONGRESS allows a GRAND JURY
tape to be RELEASED!!!! This is the impartial jury that should be trying
the president in the slow and delibrate process of possible impeachment in
today's
"quick-fix-I-want-justice-as-long-as-it-can-fit-in-a-few-sound-bytes"
society? Where a Congess member who had a long affair calls the President a
"scumbag" for having a short affair?

Show me that he hasn't been doing his job in foreign & domestic policy.
Starr has had long enough and enough of my tax dollars and way too much
time: I want him to show me that Clinton is a Nixon, creating slurs for
ethnic groups and flagrantly ordering Plumbers to do underhanded dirty
tricks to people on his "Enemies List", and I will join the rabble in
Congress who want to create a bloodless coup. Tell me about Clinton in
words depicting JFK's "Fiddle & Faddle".

I do understand why Clinton didn't think that, while he was under oath,
that the "Zip! Pop!" sessions with Monica fit the
extremely-exact-and-carefully-written description of "sexual relations".
Hey, while one of the sessions was going on, he still was able to work for
the good of the American people and make important phone calls.

The only thing he hurt was the sacred bond of marriage between him, and
Hillary. And I think it is solely between him, and Hillary.

The longer this case drags on, the more it deters from the extremely
crucial business of foreign & domestic policy. While I am sure President
Gore may be capable, I believe that President Clinton is extremely capable.
Up to now, he has been able to impliment both Democratic & Republican
policies, walking the extreme middle of the road, understanding both sides,
then executing plans based on both views, as a President should. I hope
they Censure him, then get on with it. He has a lot of work to do in the
next two years.

But that is just the way I see it. I could probably be wrong. ;}

Okay, okay, I'll try to make that the last peep about the Clinton mess.
