The answer was in the original: I tried Word97's Save As HTML and, well, it
works, but it doesn't understand some formatting. HTML Transit is much
better at odd and complex formatting than Word. Furthermore, it also
generates a Table of Contents.

Others asked why one would use such a thing. I wouldn't; I'd do it by hand,
but that's not always the best solution. A client wants to have the original
docs in Word, be able to edit and add to them, and then quickly post this to
their web site. The actual person who will do the maintenance is an
overworked, underpaid admin, who has no idea about HTML. So we're trying to
come up with a solution that will work for her.

HTML Transit works better than Word 97's Save As HTML.

My original question is: Does anyone else here use it? Comments from ACTUAL
users?
