I found this statement on their web site:

-----------------------
"HTML Transit delivers best-in-class HTML conversion, automatically, so
your company doesn't have to retrain people. Anyone who uses a word
processor, spreadsheets, or PowerPoint can simply keep doing so, and HTML
Transit can automatically translate and publish their documents as finished
Web pages. Whenever necessary, those people can simply update their
original documents, then HTML Transit can re-translate the files using the
same templates and create updated Web pages almost instantly."
-----------------------

I suspect this is just more overblown marketing hype. Perhaps this software
can take simple word processing documents or spreadsheets and convert them
into html. But I doubt it can create anything that actually looks good. Nor
does it know anything about different browsers, allowing for browser window
widths, etc.

And it goes on to say

-----------------------
"HTML Transit automatically converts the graphics, tables and OLE objects
in your source documents, accurately producing either GIF or JPEG images."
-----------------------

Yeah sure. I would love to see the results of that. Boring plain picture
boxes completely lacking in style or original design.

And then the clincher phrase...

-----------------------
"The people who contribute content for your Web pages don't have to know
HTML coding, and they (or you!) don't have to waste time manually
converting and re-linking images. HTML Transit does it all for you!"
-----------------------

I simply don't believe it. I would love to see a web site produced by this
software where it and it alone was used.
