U haven't played with it too much yet, but my understanding is that the
bundled Crystal Reports program with the CF Server component can come close
to doing a *ok* job with labels......I used an old version of the program
and I think it might fly..anyone else putzed with it?

I know the feeling. We are currently converting a large
"commitee roster" from a DB living on a VAX to mySQL and an
Access application using an mySQL ODBC Driver for printing
mailing labels, etc.
We are using CGI for 99 % of this but doing Lables on a browser
is not gonna happen. You might try this solution (run mySQL on
the solaris and do the apps on the NT/95 in Access and on the
Solaris box in cgi/C++ or Perl).
