I send out, uh, gentle reminders about this to the list every few months. 
And every few months I have to do it again.  

I've been on Usenet/e-mail/listservs for about 11 years now, and in that
time I've never seen a mail client that didn't make it reasonably simple
to "quote back" only those selected chunks of text that are relevant to
one's reply.  Heck, I could even do that on a one-modem BBS with a
Fido>UUCP gateway running, back in about 1988.

So please people, take a moment to strip out the extraneous crap that is
not relevant to the specific point you're replying to.  This is Netiquette
101 stuff, really.  Saves a heap o' bandwidth, and is a courtesy to every
one else on on the list.
