I don't agree.  Pointing out to the list at large that there are specific and 
effective ways of dealing with spam -- especially when it has been sent to 
every single one of us -- is useful and relevant information.  It also serves 
notice to other would-be spammers that such behaviour will be dealt with 
firmly.

What *I* find annoying are interminable threads that have absolutely 
nothing to do with Web consulting or the Internet.  One example that 
comes to mind is the hundred or so posts on the topic of Bill Clinton's sex 
life and related political woes that went through WC in the past couple of 
months.
