Whoops, I get it. TIC is a TLA. (Know what an IVLA is?)

That's a reasonable and even admirable attitude, but seems somewhat
dangerous; the IRS gets a bit testy if those quarterly estimated
payments aren't all that they need. On the other hand, if I have
to write them a five-figure check every three months, I'm going to
be darn sure it isn't a penny higher than it needs to be.

Was it Asimov who invented the term "payforward?" That's how I think
of stuff I do for professional groups, charities, schools, etc.

Careful, in eight months you'll be able to buy one that comes out
of the box ready to go. There are early versions on the market now.
Unpacking boxes and plugging in power and RJ45 cables won't keep
you in kayak paddles. (btw, doesn't it bug you guys that the word
for your avocation has been co-opted and made pejorative?)
