The cheapest route is to go to author Lynda Weinman's site (www.lynda.com)
and download her hex color swatches.
My favorite program for managing colors is Adobe ImageReady, as the Info
box gives you both RGB and hex codes, and colors can be much more easily
shifted to the web palette than with Photoshop.
Keep in mind that it's nearly impossible to achieve a perfect match between
graphics and page backgrounds. also, the only way to get JPEG's to match a
web safe color is usually to save them at the highest quality, which
results in files that are prohibitively large for use on the Web.
