Dear Severely Graphically Challenged,

I always had trouble with this as well until I purchased Adobe's "Image
Ready" graphics application. It has a cool little feature that allows you
to easily "Copy as HTML" any color you select in the color picker. It gives
you the hex code for the color. Slick.
