IBM? Compaq?  Actually AMD and Cyrix work as well as Intel and a
lot cheaper.  The last machine we bought had an AMD chip and no
problems.  We got it from Tiger.

How?  Unlike MS, they don't force manufacturers to use their
products.  Until recently they were the only game in town.  MS
says you can put any O/S you want on a machine as long as it also
includes Windows.
