Gee, I had a very pleasant six-month job there in the mid 70s,
building a semi-WYSIWYG text editor in PL/I to run on CICS (bad
craziness). They put me up at the Plaza, and I had a nice window
office on the 78th floor of the Time-Life building. The restaurants,
the shows; the jazz and folk clubs in the Village. (Matched only by
the time I lived next door to the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach.) It's
true that once you've seen New York, everywhere else is Out Of Town.

How is that unethical? It apparently does sell products, or vendor
shows would have faded away years ago. Companies that don't pass all
of their costs along to their customers are called "hobbies."
