Ah.  Well, while I spend most of my working days alone except for my
dog, I have quite a bit of indirect human contact (email, phone, fax),
etc., which prevents me from being completely isolated.  And because
my hobby (obsession) takes me all over the country on a lot of the
weekends between March and October, I spend plenty of time with other
people -- well, at least enough to make me happy.  (And I'll be honest:
trying to *avoid* hustle and bustle is high on my priority list.  I had
a pretty amusing conversation the other day with a headhunter who wanted
me to come to Manhattan to do some firewall work.  I refused; astonished,
he said that I hadn't heard the rather high rate yet.  I explained that
there isn't enough money *in* Manhattan to get me to work there.  I think
he was very puzzled when we were done. ;-) )
