I think they're padding their bottom line ;) If they tell you months,
and it does actually take that long they're covered. if it doesn't, they
look good.
I see that googlebot in some of my log files several times weekly,
though, so I'd be surprised if it took that long.
I also think it can be tracked to this domain name as well:
porgy.stanford.edu. Not sure on that, but I get frequent hits from that
domain to various sites, and it seems to be able to suck all of the
pages in under a few minutes, so we know it ain't a person . . .
