well, i hate to say it, but they are "definitely NOT a random, 
statistically valid sample of all web users" because...

Actually, they are from 284,489 different Accounts web sites, not just one 
from websitegarage at all.

So I would like to think this as a good sample of the general internet 
population as you can get, as the 284,489 web sites range from home sites 
to large corporate sites.

There is a darn good mix in there, so there. [=-P

We have used javascript to grab the stats on the screensize & colour used, 
which only works on certain browsers and versions, like ie & netscape. So 
that info is not volunteered...

Also, don't believe everything you hear about websites not being able to 
get your email without you knowing it, i seen it done. Again only on 
certain browsers and versions, but it can and is being done. ( not by us 
though ok, it's not nice at all )
