I'm trying to learn more about HTML 4 table specs and how things have
changed from 3.2, reviewing the page at
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/tables.html#edef-TABLE
Is it correct that closing </tr>, </th>, and </td> tags are not required?
What happens in older browsers if you don't use them? I would assume it is
foolish not to use them unless you like to live dangerously. <G>
Also, at http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/tables.html#column-calc
Do both NNv4.x and IE v4.x handle the colgroup and col tags correctly?
