Tony, while I appreciate the effort you put into presenting these stats
from websitegarage.com.au, and while they are interesting, they are
definitely NOT a random, statistically valid sample of all web users. They
are certainly heavily biased towards web developers who are much more
likely to have higher-res systems and other anomalies.
This is not "hard proof", it's invalid data to extrapolate to the general
web population of users. Nothing personal, I just think it is important to
point this out.
The reality is that it is very hard to get statistically valid data on this
topic. You would need to gather data from a variety of general interest
sites and gather it in a way that would not require the site visitors to
volunteer it, to avoid sample bias.
