Encryption is worthless for privacy protection. All that encryption
is good for, is protecting point to point communications. What they do at
the other end is the real problem!

Most utility companies, Departments of Motor Vehicles, insurers,
credit card companies and the like key your records by social security
number. Pull all those together, and one has a very good model to predict
your risk for various diseases and your susceptibility to various
advertising promotions. THAT gives various commercial entities one hell
of an unfair advantage in manipulating you! THAT is what privacy is
really about!

Given the advertising funding that is the basis of nearly all
television, radio, newspapers, trade journals, and other means by which
you become informed about this world; you are being lead by the nose to
have your hairy wallet sheared like some dumb lamb! And with all that
statistical information, they want to make sure they get every last
dollar, and that you won't kick too hard, if at all!

Now do you understand why encryption is nearly worthless for privacy?
They don't want your communications, they want your purchase and medical
histories!

It is only the police that want privy into your conversations for
statistical analysis of key words. Be careful how you pronounce the word
"rugs".
