Yes, we are adding a layer with a limited set of links that point to 
existing content. The intention is not to duplicate anything, so if you 
see duplication, please cite it, and I will remove or rewrite it. If 
there is opportunity to re-use, please also be explicit and I will 
re-use where I've overlooked content.

Absolutely, clean up, removal, retirement, and further streamlining is 
part of the charter of my new work on the website team, this splash page 
is just stop-gap measure for May.

Fair enough, this does add five pages to the site, but as a percentage, 
that is tiny addition, so maybe just a new 'curve' but not a full twist 
:) Please send along any other comments/feedback/ideas you have for the 
future of the site and I'll get them into the roadmap/assessment I'm 
putting together.
