Also, at this point the goal is to introduce the arrival of the new site. Once they've gotten some traction we'll probably want to rework the landing page.
How long do you think we'll have splash page?

I (probably a minority, but what the hey) would love to see this
splash page - or a derivative - become the main os.org page. In
my mind, the existing os.o page is random - some important things
are there, many others are not, and, worse, it has a lot of
unimportant things cluttering it up. It is well past the time to
give it a facelift :-)

Thanks for this additional feedback John, I'm sure many others feel that the front page has both important things and clutter. For now, the splash page is just a short-term solution to make it easier and prettier. We'll have to do an audit and usability work to determine what we should keep and how to enable swift navigation to everything long-term.

If you have further thoughts on navigation, or pointers to sites that have similar level of complexity, send them along, navigation is top of the list for re-work in my mind.

Thanks again,
Michelle
