It's really nice when you want to use a page for some other purpose, like conversion (as we've been discussing) or extracting content (like tables, schedules). As an example, in Roller, http://blogs.sun.com/sch/ is my blog. http://blogs.sun.com/sch/feed/entries/atom/ is the Atom feed for my blog entries. If we had an "xml/" servlet or whatever that would give back the XML for a particular page.
