Christian if I am understanding things correctly, we want to work on an
android build, but there is something Robinson pointed out at the beginning
of this thread that android has a 50Mb limit of some sort. 

Robinson feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I somewhat lack a list of the "various software for various graphics"
to try out. Do you already have a plan on what you would like to test and
why?

The requirements to me still are as unclear as last time I wrote the
question :-)

So assume you'd have a VM - what would you do at first?
