Regarding your general comment - I have seen and used Web Stack options 
GUI. This doc evolved over a span of several builds and I might have 
missed some steps. But in the doc. I couldn't find the place where I 
have asked anyone to download NB. But will look again.
Thank you again for the valuable feedback. I will also point to the 
NetBeans Solaris wiki page.
