This morning when I talked to my aunt it sounded like there was NO carry on at all on flights in the UK. Mothers could bring formula/breast milk but it had to be tasted by the passenger. Here is the latest list I could find:
I am unsure what the US to UK restrictions are. This is all temporary. Who knows what tomorrow will bring, or the day after.
There were 2 live discussions on Washington Post today about the plot... They were very interesting. One person brought up a good point... people have been smuggling things up their rectums for YEARS what is the likelihood that we could stop them if they wanted to do that? (that was paraphrased).
Have you bought your tickets? If not wait and see if there are sales. If you have them wait and see how this hashes out. Really walking on the National Mall might be more dangerous than taking a trip to the UK in October.

why not diapers? Aren't toys OK? So is this no liquids
indefinitely? I read people couldn't bring their wine from Napa
Valley or their maple syrup from Vermont or whatever. Does that mean
we can't bring water on the plane ever again? I'm thinking my
flights round trip will be so miserable that it will put a damper on
my whole trip. This sucks.
