Police in Germany were called out to a motorway
service station by a man who had lost his teeth on
his way to the toilets. Martin Klein from Munich called
the emergency services out to the rest station in
Saxony after he tripped in the dark and his �3,000
dentures flew out of his mouth. The police officers
were soon able to help the 56-year-old, who they
had found crawling around the area on all fours,
and used their flashlights to help him retrieved the
dentures.
A corpse scared off three burglars who were trying
to ransack a Dutch funeral parlour. The thieves fled
in terror after finding a dead man laid out in one of
the exhibit rooms. The men, who broke into the
parlour in the town of Musselkanaal through the
cemetery, made off with only a pack of coffee.
A South African thief who stole a plane for a joyride
had to land on a motorway when it ran out of fuel.
He made the emergency landing on the N4 highway
near Bronkhorstspruit, about 30 miles from Pretoria.
Police say the aircraft was undamaged and the thief
got away before he could be arrested. "We have no
idea who the suspect is," a police spokesman said.
There was no apparent damage to the plane and
there appeared to have been few cars on the road
when it landed. One of the highway's two lanes
was closed to traffic.
