It works already .. albeit there is no tarball released yet. I have packaged something up for gentoo .. working perfectly so far. Other distros can just use it: http://dev.gentoo.org/~genstef/files/dist/wengophone-1.0_pre20060106.tar.bz2 But this is not working on amd64 => it cannot be released as 1.0 Some people on IRC are woring on it I heard. > 2. replace ffmpeg with ogg theora, so EVERY linux distro can ship a > video softphone... Why do you have a problem with ffmpeg? Also, I cannot find a ffmpeg-dependency in my compiled wengophone-stable package.
