Follow-up Comment #9, bug #8522 (project wesnoth):
Thanks for fixing, but...units that don't have names really shouldn't have
names. If I understood your fix correctly (correct if I'm wrong), in
situations where you'd previously end up with units getting a
description=<unittype>-<sdlticksnumber>, you'd now end up with
description=<unittype> (or user_description=<unittype>? Doesn't matter,
really), which would be undesirable as well, since it makes units have their
unit type as their name, which makes no sense (since you'd end up seeing
"Skeleton Archer Skeleton Archer" constantly since almost wherever the unit
name is displayed, so is the type).
If your fix actually just gives the units description=<unittype> _and_
user_description=<empty>, then it'd be ok since you couldn't see a bogus name
of any kind in-game, but I still wouldn't see any reason to actually do that
(since if the scenario designer wants a unit to have a description/name,
he'll do it manually).
So, could we have it so that units wouldn't get any user-visible
descriptions/names given to them automatically?
