Details:
Something new that was introduced with the 1.5.13 was a revised install
procedure; drag the application onto the alias (or "shortcut") to the
Applications folder.
The Applications folder alias included in the .dmg (an idea much implemented
in other software, and an idea that I like too) does not link to the
customer's /Applications folder. An error message will display, "The alias
"Applications" could not be opened, because the original cannot be found."
You will then also get "The item "Wesnoth" could not be moved because
"Applications" cannot be modified."
Dragging the application onto the folder WILL NOT INSTALL Wesnoth.
Solution: I'm guessing the maintainer for the Mac OS X package must re-create
the alias to /Applications and, for goodness sake, test this on an entirely
different computer before releasing.
