Yes, when I get info on the application I also see "Original:
/Applications". But showing the original produces the "fix alias" message.
Yes, it does work if I drag it manually to /Applications. So it's not a total
loss. Other programs (Firefox, even DMG Canvas, have working Applications
aliases). Should I get different behavior with DMG Canvas installed? I'm not
sure what I should be looking for that's different (it's installed, but
nothing has changed, unfortunately).
I am definitely an administrator of both my MacBook Pro and the PowerPC Mac
mini.
I'm going to research this further and try different setups. At work we've
got a variety of Macs that I'll be able to access. Thanks for hearing me out,
hopefully I'll be able to pinpoint it to something.
