That's quite interesting, and odd. I'll be sure to tell the guy who made it
about this, next time he's on IRC.
Installing DMG Canvas wasn't supposed to do anything, just a test to see if
it worked.
I've made (and attached) a disk image that I hope you can test. Instead of
letting DMG Canvas create the alias, I made one myself and dragged it in. The
sizes are actually different, so I suspect it will work.
