Follow-up Comment #18, bug #17573 (project wesnoth):
I have attached the patch I promised. I have tested it on Gentoo Linux ~amd64
with both glibc 2.13 and 2.11.3. Testing it on Gentoo is complicated by the
fact that (at my urging) the libsdl package maintainer patched the upstream
issue, so I had to revert libsdl to version 2.14-r5 on Gentoo before I could
do proper testing.
I discussed this with bouncman as I was working on it. This is the second
patch I have produced for Wesnoth and he suggested that I add myself to to the
about.cfg for my work, so the patch includes an entry for me in that.
