This sounds really great, another idea could be prose and/or lore. I've
noticed a real upswing both for the creation of prose and the
willingness to fit into the wesnoth lore since esr made sure to create
the writers forum.

For me personally I think it is great that you even consider wml/umc for
scholarship, I might even slip in an application :)

Wow, this is great. Very thoughtful. I fully support this.

One thing to have in mind is to ask women to actually govern this
particular scholarship. Sometimes I have felt cheezy when men try to
'help' women without actually asking them if and how they want help.
