This sounds really great, another idea could be prose and/or lore. I've noticed a real upswing both for the creation of prose and the willingness to fit into the wesnoth lore since esr made sure to create the writers forum. One thing to have in mind is to ask women to actually govern this particular scholarship. Sometimes I have felt cheezy when men try to 'help' women without actually asking them if and how they want help.
