Dear Agrey With due respect i have taken your submission fully & Understood it. With the tone of your submission i can imagine the degree of damage that Mr.Ibrahim Abiriga and his order from above group have caused to our only green vegetation that gives Arua a look of beauty. The chunk of land you have discribed is avast land i swear as i know Barifa verry well. The question is If what the RDC is doing is not illegal why should he watch over it under tight security? Has he become a Nyampara working in a cane plantation? Now that this is what is going on and we are of the Knowledge that the land belongs to the people cant the population rise againist Abiriga in Particular? Is he above the law that he is untourchable. I sincerely call upon people of west nile and Arua in particular to raise up getback this land through any means we can lay our hands on whether Legaly or Politicaly or otherwise. For we can not afford to loose this land to these land grabers who feel that they are more Ugandan than the others.We are also Ugandans nobody should intimidate us.

Of course Arua Municipal Council as an interested party in the land should come up to inform the public on what is going on. That Barifa has been sold to Salim Saleh, et al, to construct modern satellite town has been a rumour running for more than five years now and I think the truth is now unfolding. Our concern however is that Arua Municipal Council may have already lost money to NFA by way of compensating the latter with land at Kaza, in Logiri and further to that is likelihood of local stakeholders losing out on their interests in the now contested land.
