Also check what devices the router will let "touch" it if authenticating
control is enabled. If the WUG Box is not authorized to access the
router, then the router will drop it's traffic.

Ok I downloaded and installed Whatsup Gold 8.03

Set up a new Map and a New device, I'm still unable to ping my router.

In 8.03 I went to the Net Tools and was able to ping the router (and
any 
other device). I tried a packet size from 100 to 3000 without any
problems.
