We have the same issue here, it's more than annoying
because our alerts go straight to an on-call pager, which means the on-call guy
was up half the darned night. :(
Anybody having any luck removing the 8.04 patch and going
back to 8.03HF2?

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] WUG 8.04 patch - UP with no DOWN alert?
I just
installed the WUG 8.04 patch and it seems like it's exhibiting the same behavior
in WUP that people have been complaining about -- UP alerts with no
corresponding DOWN alert.
I haven't
tested this sufficiently yet, but I did receve a few UP alerts for
devices that missed only 1 ping when my alert trigger for DOWN
notifications is 2.
Has anyone
else installed this patch yet and are you seeing the same results or is it just
me?
