It was a stub with no references on a subject I've never heard of (and I've been doing tech stuff since I was super young). It very likely would be deleted in today's environment. Of course, it shouldn't be... If this policy was in place, you couldn't have made that article, and it's possible you wouldn't be an editor now. We appreciate your work, and we'd like to appreciate the work of future editors as well. I'd like for us to help and mentor the noobs instead of biting them. Hand-holding is better than hand-slapping, and taking away a right from a new user is the latter.
